With Trump pressing for peace, Netanyahu adapts to new political reality – msn/WaPost

Reality check: Deal or no deal, the Netanyahu government’s objectives remain the same: 1) kill or displace as many Palestinians as politically practicable and 2) take their land. Israel will play along with Trump’s peace plan as it consolidates a more dominant position after flattening Gaza and decimating its population. Meanwhile, watch very carefully how Israel pursues its objectives in the West Bank. Regarding Trump’s quest for Nobel gold, he is not a neutral mediator. Don’t forget that the US paid for most of the Gaza genocide – or whatever the hell label is hung on it as the world sorts through what is left.

Why Trump didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize — but still has one big chance – Independent

“The US leader has insisted he should have won the prestigious award ‘four or five times’ by now.”

It’s a bit premature to declare peace. Maybe next year.

No peace, no prize.
