Opening the DNC’s Black Box – American Prospect
“Why we’re publishing a previously undisclosed list of all 448 members of the Democratic National Committee”
This picture of the inner circles of Democratic Party isn’t very democratic. Or it may be as democratic as can be – or is possible given the nature of politics. The more transparent the delegates, how they got selected, and the process of choosing party leadership, the more it all resembles democracy. Money may be the mother’s milk of politics – but perhaps a chunk of it should come in the form of small donations with some party delegates representing the small guys – so big donors don’t dominate entirely.
