Global Elections in the Shadow of Neoliberalism – Project Syndicate
In this piece, Stiglitz starts with a creditable critique of neo-liberalism — and ends with a campaign plug for Joe Biden and taxing the top 1% to help the rest. This unfortunately is political cover for Biden’s version of neo-liberalism – which includes shielding the top echelons under the 1% from higher taxes while increasing the national debt. Can’t see much difference in how the bottom 50% in the economy would fare under 4 more years of either Trump or Biden.
