More hollow White House talk? To make this work, what’s needed are US/international troops on the ground to distribute aid and keep order. The Israeli army has demonstrated it is incapable of protecting civilians in occupied territories from itself.

What is the US policy priority here: 1) Protecting civilians? 2) Reducing Gaza’s population (as the government of its traditional ally wishes to do)?; or 3) going through the motions of providing humanitarian aid while pushing more military aid for Israel through Congress?
