Fairfax bus strike, in its second week, takes a toll on commuters – msn/WaPost

Fairfax County Board of Supervisors – which voted itself a 45% raise a year ago – needs to cough up the $$ so bus drivers and mechanics can afford the area cost of living and thousands of other lower-middle and low-wage workers can get to work. Northern Virginia lawmakers’ continuing message to people at the bottom of the economic pyramid: “We need you to work here but don’t think you can afford to live here.”
